We are seeking a technically driven Electrical Engineer or Electronics Test Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to join our growing engineering team in Lisle, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer or highly skilled electronics technician looking to advance their career in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
The ideal candidate will enjoy troubleshooting complex electronic systems, performing root cause analysis, and working alongside a team of passionate engineers developing consumer electronic products.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical troubleshooting and failure analysis on electronic products and assemblies.
Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify and resolve hardware and firmware issues.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support product validation, testing, and reliability efforts.
Perform statistical analysis on test data to identify trends and drive product improvements.
Execute environmental and reliability testing using environmental chambers.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve product performance and quality.
Document findings, corrective actions, and technical reports.
Assist with troubleshooting and understand firmware interactions with electronic hardware.
Support proto@type builds, testing, and product development activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (is a plus) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent military technical training.
1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, electronics testing, or a related technical role.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for electrical and electronic systems.
Experience performing root cause analysis.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
Basic understanding of firmware and its interaction with hardware.
Experience using statistical analysis to evaluate test results is preferred.
Experience working with environmental chambers is a plus.
Experience with consumer electronics is highly preferred.
Military electronics or technical training is highly valued.
Electronics technicians with strong troubleshooting experience are encouraged to apply.
