*Qualifications and Skills:
Self-motivation and positive attitude in order to carry out the duties as outlined below
Willingness and ability to work and communicate with people in a friendly, professional manner, including volunteers of varying abilities and aptitudes.
Physically able to handle heavy recyclables and carry out the duties listed below.
Listening and attention skills for receiving directions and working safely.
Duties:
Work together with CVR's driver to collect cardboard and other recyclables from CVR's commercial customers
Work together with CVR's other employees on the residential curbside routes on Tuesdays.
Help CVR staff to collect recyclables from the public and put in the proper place for processing.
Process materials as needed: plastics, electronics, paper, wood scraps, etc
Help with baling of materials as needed.
Sweep warehouse weekly.
Move materials around warehouse with pallet jack. Be aware of when materials are not in the appropriate place and move as needed to keep our warehouse clean and organized.
Use equipment in a safe manner. Don't use forklift or skid steer without training from either Clayton or Dee. Respect the equipment -- use gently.
Assist the manager as needed with various projects.
