Job Description:
NOTE: This role is based in New York City and encourages a minimum of two days per week in the SoHo office. Some roles or teams may require additional in-office attendance if the essential functions of the role require it.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Highly visible role responsible for maximizing sales, developing relationships with key stakeholders, assisting in the development of marketing and promotional programs, and working closely with sales counterparts, marketing, customer service, operations, and publishing colleagues. Responsible for product exposure, sales, and profitability for the Scholastic Trade Amazon business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive Amazon year over year growth using marketing tools, competitive analysis, meta-data, and merchandising vehicles.
Analyze sales (using Power BI, Circana Vendor Central and Salesforce). Focusing on ways to improve meta-data, A+ content and SEO. Explore opportunities with AMS advertising, coupons and beyond to increase growth and build brand recognition.
Manage Amazon operations, inventory, forecasting and EIS relationships.
Work with internal inventory and operations team and Amazon EIS and ESS teams to build relationships and enhance our overall working partnership and profile on the Amazon site.
Active participation in meetings and collaboration with sales managers.
Speak to the Amazon business during meetings. Meet and review sales with other sales managers to understand what is working at other accounts.
Work closely with marketing to facilitate and analyze AMS campaigns.
Brainstorm ideas with the marketing team to maximize frontlist opportunities through AMS, A+ content and meta-data on a consistent basis.
Work closely with editorial teams to help them build product lists that will perform well within the online market.
Report on trends and opportunities regarding Amazon business in acquisitions meetings, sales reviews, sales conferences and call reports.
Internal contact for Amazon.
Accessible to the entire trade team for Amazon inquiries, ideas, troubleshooting, for meta-data, marketing, editorial, publicity, as well as upper management.

HOW YOU CAN FIT (Qualifications)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven sales leader with strong sales background in trade publishing.
At least 3 years' experience with a major national account preferably Amazon.
Self-starter, able to take ownership of job responsibilities and manage work time efficiently.
Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
Drive change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to communicate and work effectively with colleagues at every level of seniority as well as accounts.
Must be proficient in MS Suite, Salesforce, and preferably Vendor Central and must have strong analytical skills.
