About the Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR):
The Indiana Department of Revenue team is comprised of over 700 staff that are located in 13 locations across the state of Indiana. We work collaboratively with the Indiana Governor's office, the General Assembly, state agencies, individuals, business owners, corporations, tax practitioners, and a variety of tax program participants to administer Indiana's tax laws. DOR administers over 65 tax @types and annually processes nearly $21 billion of tax revenue. Our mission is to serve Indiana by administering tax laws in a fair, secure, and efficient manner.
Role Overview:
As the Multimedia Specialist, you will support the agency's communication, public engagement, and information dissemination through the creation of high quality digital and multimedia content. We seek a Multimedia Specialist who is comfortable engaging with various agency partners to execute website updates, build new web pages, produce audio, video, and graphic design.
Salary:

A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create multimedia content that aligns with company objectives.
Create the web design and layout of a website or web pages.
Plan, script, and storyboard multimedia projects, ensuring a clear and compelling narrative.
Produce and edit videos, animations, and graphics using industry-standard software and tools.
Capture and edit audio and video footage, applying appropriate effects, transitions, and enhancements.
Create visually appealing and user-friendly interactive media experiences.
Ensure multimedia content is consistent with branding guidelines and quality standards.
Manage and maintain multimedia assets, including storage, organization, and version control.
Stay updated on emerging multimedia trends, techniques, and technologies.
Collaborate with content creators, designers, and marketers to integrate multimedia into campaigns and initiatives.
Test and optimize multimedia content for various platforms and devices.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for multimedia-related issues.

What You'll Need for Success:
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
Proficiency in multimedia software and tools.
Strong creative and storytelling skills, with an eye for visual aesthetics.
Solid understanding of video and audio production techniques.
Experience with 2D/3D animation and motion graphics.
Familiarity with interactive media design and user experience principles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Past successful participation in a range of multimedia projects and styles.
A degree is not required. However, at least 3+ years of experience applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
