Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $17 / hour*

What you'll be doing as an Accounting Specialist:

Prepare and post daily and monthly general ledger entries.

Process accounts payable invoices, purchasing card transactions, and vendor payments

Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and financial records

Prepare and process checks, deposits, reimbursements, and billing transactions

Maintain accurate accounting records, vendor files, and financial documentation

Assist with monthly financial reports, audits, budget reporting, and year-end activities

Support preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

Research and resolve vendor payment discrepancies and account issues

Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and external vendors

Assist with payroll backup and other accounting projects as assigned

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (government accounting preferred)

Knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Ability to communicate professionally with internal departments and vendors

Background check and drug testing required
