Summary As an IT Specialist in the IV&V Program, you will perform technical support services on mission critical flight/ground systems and software and/or Information Systems/IT based products, and solutions that enable this work. You will perform and provide cyber/mission protection services, and/or develop and test of software, application(s), simulation(s), digital twins and artificial intelligence based solutions that advances technical capabilities, products and services of the IV&V Program. Responsibilities Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee. Provides end user support services for IT systems, software and applications. Conducts software simulations, testing or related technical analyses to verify system/software behavior. Develops software and lifecycle work products, including requirements, design, code or simulation and test assets for software applications, digital twins, test software, IT systems, and IT-based technologies. Design and develops artificial intelligence-based solutions to enhance software development activities or assurance products and services. Performs technical analysis of lifecycle work products, such as requirements, design, code or test products, to assess cybersecurity/mission protection control(s) implementation. For supervisory positions, you will perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. You may meet the basic requirements through substitution of education for experience. To qualify at the GS-7, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level: Assisting in performing activities such as basic technical analysis, end-user support services, software development, simulation and test, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence related efforts. To qualify for the GS-9, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level: Performing activities such as basic technical analysis, end user support services, software development, simulation and test, cybersecurity or artificial intelligence related efforts. To qualify for the GS-11, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: Performing activities such as technical analysis, software development, simulation and testing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence efforts, or end-user support services. Producing technical work products/results and applying technical judgment under supervision. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Performing activities such as complex technical systems analysis, systems/software development, simulation and testing, cybersecurity/mission protection, artificial intelligence efforts, or end-user support services. Producing technical work products and applying technical judgment to independently resolve technical issues and support activities with limited supervision. AND You MUST also have IT-related experience in the competencies listed in the How You Will Be Evaluated section below.
