Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description
The Supply Chain Analyst coordinates outbound shipments of finished products and inbound deliveries of raw materials for the facility, ensuring accurate documentation, smooth logistics operations, and strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners across both domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities
Coordinate outbound shipments of finished products to domestic and international customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Manage inbound raw material loads, including scheduling arrivals and coordinating with the unloading team.
Schedule outbound loads and align shipping activities with the warehouse team to optimize loading and dispatch.
Assign loads and print labels for all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Verify that container numbers and seals are handled correctly on all loads and ensure corresponding documentation is updated in the system.
Maintain intimate knowledge of customer accounts, including customer-specific product specifications and shipping requirements.
Communicate and coordinate effectively with Sales, Manufacturing, external freight companies, railroads, regulatory agencies, customers, Accounting, brokers, and other stakeholders to support end-to-end supply chain activities.
Build and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships to support reliable and efficient logistics operations.
Understand plant operations, including logistics, production, and inventory processes, and apply this knowledge to improve shipment planning and coordination.
Manage rail logistics for the facility, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination with rail service providers.
Handle incoming raw material documentation and ensure labels are printed and provided to the unloading team in a timely manner.
Assist with warehouse management activities as they relate to shipping, receiving, and inventory flow.
Support shipment documentation processes to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant records for all inbound and outbound movements.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in shipment coordination for outbound finished products and inbound raw materials.
Hands-on experience with shipping coordination, including scheduling loads and managing documentation.
Strong in supply chain and logistics operations, including understanding of plant logistics, production, and inventory.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate internal truck drivers and other transportation resources.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external partners.
Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships.
Proficiency with computer systems and applications used for shipment documentation, labeling, and logistics coordination.
Experience managing rail logistics or working with rail service providers.
Ability to work accurately with container numbers, seals, and related shipment documentation.
Capability to collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, external freight companies, railroads, regulatory agencies, customers, Accounting, and brokers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in warehouse management or close collaboration with warehouse teams.
Exposure to payroll assistance or support activities within an operations or logistics environment.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to shipping and logistics.
Experience supporting or managing shipment documentation for domestic and international customers.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Work Environment
The role operates within a facility-based environment that integrates logistics, production, and inventory operations. The Supply Chain Analyst works closely with warehouse teams, internal truck drivers, and plant operations staff, as well as external freight companies, railroads, regulatory agencies, customers, Accounting, and brokers. The position involves extensive use of computer systems for shipment coordination, documentation, and labeling, and requires frequent coordination of rail and truck logistics. The work setting combines office-based administrative tasks with regular interaction on the warehouse or plant floor to ensure smooth shipping and receiving activities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
