Position Summary...
The Senior Director, Performance Acceleration Operations drives how Continuous Improvement work is prioritized, aligned, and executed across the Grocery Network, with a clear focus on helping distribution centers achieve CPH, financial targets, and other key KPIs.
This role ensures work enters the field through a single, coordinated path-reducing noise, improving clarity, and enabling stronger execution in the buildings. Acting as the bridge between enterprise strategy and day-to-day operations, the leader partners closely with Divisional VPs, GMs, SCILs, and support teams to focus on the highest-value opportunities.
Ultimately, this role helps the network operate as one system-protecting field capacity, reinforcing clear priorities, and giving leaders better visibility into performance, risks, and progress.
What you'll do...
Lead the divisional operations pillar of the Performance Acceleration model
Provide overall direction for the divisional operations and field-support structure within the Grocery Network Performance Acceleration organization.
Establish and reinforce Divisional Support as the primary conduit through which Performance Acceleration work is aligned, sequenced, and introduced into the field.
Ensure divisional operations support is working as a force multiplier for the field rather than creating additional complexity or competing direction.
Serve as the senior operations leader connecting enterprise PA strategy to divisional and site-level execution.
Drive alignment, prioritization, and sequencing across divisions
Oversee the identification, prioritization, and sequencing of high-value performance improvement opportunities across divisions.
Ensure work is aligned to KPI gaps, business priorities, field capacity, and operational needs before it enters the Distribution Centers.
Reduce fragmentation by preventing side-door work, competing asks, and poorly aligned initiatives from entering the field outside the intended operating model.
Partner with divisional leaders and peer senior leaders to ensure initiatives are launched in the right order, with the right support, and through the right governance.
Support field execution through clear operating discipline
Reinforce the operating model in the field by ensuring SCILs, IMs, CSD-Ms, and divisional leaders understand role clarity, work intake expectations, and portfolio discipline.
Drive visibility into adoption gaps, rollout issues, execution drift, and field confusion, and intervene when the model is not functioning as intended.
Partner with CoE and Engineering to ensure the field receives complete, practical, and properly sequenced support.
Support the creation of cleaner operating rhythms, stronger governance, and consistent performance acceleration ways of working across divisions.
Provide divisional visibility, governance, and leadership support
Partner with Divisional Vice Presidents, General Managers, and divisional teams to review priorities, performance gaps, initiative progress, and support needs.
Build clear visibility into divisional performance, active improvement work, field readiness, adoption risk, and barriers to execution.
Ensure senior leadership has a clear view of where support is needed, where work should be reset, and where intervention is required.
Support escalation and resolution of cross-functional barriers that prevent divisional or field success.
Lead high-performing teams and organizational capability
Lead and develop a high-performing divisional support organization capable of operating effectively across a matrixed and fast-moving network.
Diagnose capability gaps, recruit and develop talent, support succession planning, and strengthen leadership capability across the divisional support structure.
Build a culture of clarity, partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure the team is equipped to support the field in a way that improves performance, simplifies execution, and strengthens long-term sustainability.
What Success Looks Like
Work enters the field through a clear, disciplined, and aligned process.
Divisional leaders and field teams experience less noise, fewer conflicting asks, and stronger clarity on priorities.
Divisions are focused on the highest-value work, with stronger sequencing and better protection of field capacity.
SCILs and field teams operate with greater clarity on roles, ownership, and performance acceleration ways of working.
Adoption, rollout quality, and consistency improvement across the network.
The divisional operations pillar is seen as a trusted, practical partner that helps the field perform better and operate with greater focus.
What you'll bring...

Experience in grocery, distribution, fulfillment, logistics, or large-scale supply chain operations.
Experience supporting field teams through change, role clarity, or operating model transitions.
Experience in continuous improvement, network operations, divisional support, or performance acceleration environments.
Strong track record of translating strategy into practical, field-facing execution.
Leadership Expectations
Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives, field needs, and divisional priorities and translating them into clear strategies, plans, and actions.
Build strong cross-functional relationships and operate as an enterprise leader within the broader Performance Acceleration system.
Develop talent through coaching, mentorship, succession planning, and continuous learning.
Foster an environment of integrity, accountability, and strong partnership.
Lead with a field-first, customer-minded, and operationally practical mindset.
