Essential Job Functions:

Certifies deeds and other legal documents for UPI Ordinance and compliance.

Monitors deed and transfer consideration for inconsistencies and reports to the Chief Assessor.

Consults and corresponds with attorneys, surveyors, realtors, legal assistants, and general public with compliance of the UPI Ordinance, Act 319 and Act 154 (Clean and Green) and Act 75 (Homestead/Farmstead) and public access system.

Monitors deeds for inconsistencies with tax rolls and corrects parcels as needed.

Conducts deed research for daily transfers and researches old deeds as required for current issues and mapping problems.

Advises Planning Commission of any illegal transfers.

Provides computer input and maintenance of office files for Assessment rolls.

Assists realtors with sales data and compliance with applicable ordinance and programs.

Prepares applications of Act 319 and 154 (Clean and Green) compliance and reports violations on an as needed basis.

Operates computer, GIS computer and plotter.

Assists with tax appeals and specified clerical duties as needed.

Other Duties:

Attends meetings and training as necessary.

Assists Tax Claim Bureau, Recorder of Deeds, and Planning offices as necessary.

Performs other job-related duties as requested.
