Position Overview
The Manufacturing Finance Budget Manager partners closely with plant leadership and operations teams to manage financial planning, performance reporting, and cost control across the manufacturing site. This role is responsible for consolidating forecasts, budgets, and standard costing packages; translating operational results into actionable financial insights; and supporting decision-making through analysis, reporting, and business case development. The Manufacturing Finance Budget Manager also oversees capital project spending and fixed assets accounting to ensure projects are managed through completion and assets are identified with the correct in-service date.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities
Acts as the primary finance business partner for the plant VP and manufacturing operations, supporting plant leadership with financial insight, performance management, and decision support.
Provides direct people leadership to two finance team members, including workload prioritization, coaching, development, and performance management.
Accountable for end-to-end plant planning process including forecasting, budgeting, standards, and performance analysis.
Manages multiple cost centers and operational budgets including labor, scrap, NPOT, indirect spending, and productivity metrics.
Assists the plant director in consolidating and tracking performance on the operational strategic plan and KPIs.
Oversees fixed asset integrity and compliance at the site level by ensuring accuracy of in-service dates and identifying fixed assets based on project spend.
Develops and evaluates financial business cases to support operational initiatives, capital decisions, and action plans.
Leads financial review meetings with plant VP and operations to uncover financial deviations and action plans to improve cost performance.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of finance and budgeting experience
OR
Master's degree and at least 4 years of finance and budgeting experience
OR
At least 8 years of finance and budgeting experience

Desired Skills
At least 1 year of lead experience
Sharp analytical and problem solving skills with a business savvy mindset.
Ability to perform causal analysis and translate operational drivers into financial results.
Excellent communication abilities including written, verbal, and executive ready. Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and key performance metrics (NPOT, HPU, scrap, productivity, labor analysis).
Ability to partner effectively with operations leaders to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
Comfort balancing operational realities with financial discipline and corporate expectations.
Advanced Excel, PowerBI and data analysis skills; ability to work efficiently with large, complex data sets through SQL or other means of advanced data analysis.
Familiarity with Infor LN, SAP, and PeopleSoft ERP systems.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to financial controls and compliance.

Salary Minimum: USD $115,200.00/Yr.
Salary Maximum: USD $172,800.00/Yr.
