Solutions Developer V

Our client, a Banking company, is looking for a Solutions Developer V for their Toronto, ON/ Hybrid location. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, business partners, QE, and architecture to deliver high-quality solutions

Work in an Agile environment, actively participating in ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Contribute to the development and delivery of features through 2-week sprint cycles, owning and executing assigned user stories

Provide regular updates on progress, blockers, and outcomes to ensure team alignment and delivery success

Requirements:

Scope of Project: client personal finance mobile application support and maintenance - potential for re-design work (full stack - primarily backend)

Team Size/Culture: 6 people, very collaborative

Level of education: Post secondary (college or university) education is mandatory (Computer Science or programming are preferred)

Years Of Overall Experience: 10+ years of experience

Preferred Candidate Background: mobile/web development, industry doesn't matter

10+ years of back-end development experience

Strong backend fundamentals, such as distributed system design, API design, container orchestration, and familiarity with MVCC concepts etc.

5+ years of Web development experience

10+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript experience

5+ years of experience using Kafka, Postgres, and Kubernetes experience

Very strong and clear communication (written and verbal)

Strong problem-solving skills

Strong facilitation skills

Self-motivated, well organized, able to work both independently and in a team environment

Attention to detail and someone who is a self-starter and adaptable

Familiarity with iOS and Android native development concepts, such as app lifecycle, push notifications, xcode and code signing, etc.

Cordova/Ionic v1 (AngularJS)

Redis

Banking or financial institution experience
