INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS)

Summary You will serve as an IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) in the Director Maritime Headquarters, Communications and Fleet Support (N6D), of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY. Responsibilities You will participate in conferences, demonstrations, and briefings to oversee emerging interoperability and requirement issues. You will provide updates for budget and unfunded requirements submissions via naval messages, information papers, and video teleconferences. You will help update instruction manuals, put new policies and guidance into practice, and take on special projects as needed to support the Fleet Modernization Program (FMP). You will be responsible for disaster readiness and provide on-scene supervision of Disaster Readiness Personnel when needed. You will collect and analyze data from joint trainings and combat experiences to incorporate lessons learned into system development for Combat Systems or Hull Mechanical and Electrical equipment. Education Additional Information This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Pay retention may be granted when certain conditions are met. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
