We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Accounting Manager to join a mission-driven healthcare organization. In this leadership role, you will oversee the full accounting function, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and play a key role in guiding financial strategy, compliance, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do
As Accounting Manager, you will take ownership of the organization's core accounting operations, including:
Leading and executing the monthly financial close process from start to finish
Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, variance analyses, and supporting schedules
Overseeing daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting
Supervises: Accounting Team Leader, Senior Staff Accountant, A/P Specialist
Reviewing and approving journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions
Ensuring strong internal controls and financial compliance across all processes
Managing cash flow, banking relationships, and debt oversight
Supporting budget development, forecasting, and variance reporting
Assisting with annual audit preparation, 990 filings, and regulatory reporting
Overseeing capital asset tracking and leasehold improvement accounting
Partnering with leadership on financial insights, performance trends, and strategic initiatives
Mentoring and developing a growing accounting team
What You Bring
5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience and Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting
Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or hospice accounting REQUIRED
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools
