The Department of Psychology of the College of Science at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a non-tenure Academic Professional Track (APT) faculty position for an Assistant, Associate or Professor of Instruction full-time position that combines teaching, program administration, and leadership. This is a nine-month renewable contract position that will support our department's Industrial and Organizational Psychology M.S. program.This position is expected to start Fall 2026.In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.and#xA0;.We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative educator-practitioner to join our faculty as a leader in our I/O M.S. program. This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of I/O professionals while helping guide a well-established graduate program into its next phase. The ideal candidate will bring a Ph.D. in I/O Psychology (or a closely related field), a strong commitment to high-quality teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and the ability to mentor students through applied capstone and consulting experiences.and#xA0;This role is especially well-suited for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of teaching, mentorship, and program leadership, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and program coordination. Prior experience in graduate program administration is valued but not required; what matters most is a thoughtful, engaged educator who is eager to take ownership of a program and build meaningful connections with students, alumni, and the broader I/O community. A reduced teaching load in the first two years supports a successful transition into the program director role, with a sustainable long-term balance between teaching and leadership responsibilities.We seek candidates qualified to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in topics related to either the organizational or industrial side of I/O using a face-to-face modality. Typical APT instructors are expected to teach four courses each fall and spring semester; however, this position will receive a teaching reduction (2 courses in fall and 3 in spring) during their first and second year then increasing to a 3-3 teaching load in their third year and thereafter. Successful candidates should be strongly committed to various teaching practices, graduate mentorship, and student success. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience..Qualified applicants will have:and#xA0;A Ph.D. in I/O psychology or a closely related field.Experience teaching graduate courses such as Organizational Behavior, Employee Selection, Employee Training and Development, Research Design, or Practicum/Consulting Skills.Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses such as Business Psychology, Statistics or other I/O-related topics utilizing active learning and innovative pedagogies.Candidates will be expected to supervise I/O masterand#x2019;s student capstone projects and contribute to the quality and growth of the I/O program by assuming the leadership role as Director of the I/O M.S. program..Preference will be given to candidates with experience in graduate program administration/coordination and/or student advisingAt least two years of experience teaching university-level psychology courses.
