The Senior Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistency, sanitation, and team performance. This leadership role supervises kitchen staff, manages daily production, maintains food cost controls, and helps deliver exceptional dining experiences while upholding company standards.

Culinary Operations

Assist the Executive Chef in planning, organizing, and directing all kitchen activities.

Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.

Ensure all recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards are followed.

Monitor food quality and address any issues promptly.

Assist with menu development, seasonal offerings, and special event menus.

Team Leadership

Supervise, train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff.

Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed.

Assist with scheduling and labor management.

Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.

Food Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Maintain proper food storage, handling, and labeling procedures.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and operational standards.

Enforce HACCP and food safety guidelines.

Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.

5+ years of progressive culinary experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef preferred.

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
