The (USA) Exterior Services Technician, DOT Operator - DS, is responsible for managing and executing exterior facility maintenance projects, including landscaping, snow removal, and equipment upkeep. The technician leads third-party providers, conducts quality inspections, and addresses customer concerns to maintain safe, efficient, and sustainable environments. About the team:
The Exterior Services Technician team plays a vital role in maintaining Walmart's outdoor environments year-round. This team manages landscaping tasks such as lawn care, pruning, and fertilizing to ensure clean, orderly, and safe surroundings. They coordinate projects, oversee material procurement, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Team members collaborate closely with facility users and third-party providers to deliver quality results while controlling costs. What you'll do:
Prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates for planned projects and approving purchases of parts, materials, and equipment.
Manage internal projects by prioritizing work assignments and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Provide technical assistance and consultation to facilitate procurement and verify receipt of materials.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following established safety and environmental guidelines.
Lead third-party providers through coaching and performance evaluations to maintain quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns by communicating effectively with facility users.
Implement facility upgrades and assess landscaping and maintenance needs to optimize operations.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in managing and executing scheduled projects with strong organizational skills.
Ability to develop and manage budgets, including cost estimates and expense tracking.
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Skilled in sourcing, verifying, and approving materials and equipment for facility maintenance and upgrades.
Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve customer and operational issues effectively.
Experience leading third-party providers and conducting quality assurance inspections.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to build relationships with stakeholders and team members.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

21 years of age or older.
Valid, state-issued driver's license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification at a minimum of a 90 day card.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language
