Summary You will serve as a FACILITIES OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of NAVOBSERV. Responsibilities You will be the Building Manager and as such oversee safety, physical security, contracts and perform administrative functions. You will prioritize maintenance, repair, energy, utility, and construction projects of varying size. You will provide technical input into special projects and contracts packages for the acquisition of services and equipment. You will provide facility/building system information in support of space allocation, relocation, and modification decision making. You will assist with the oversight of building and site systems maintenance; systems include low voltage electrical distribution, high voltage utility distribution, HVAC, HVAC controls, plumbing. You will assist with the oversight of systems maintenance, including fire alarm, fire suppression, building envelope, emergency backup power (lighting, generator, and uninterruptible power), custodial, roads, and grounds. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience supporting short- and long-term facilities planning including: space modifications, space allocation, mission relocation, project planning, facilities improvements, and property modifications. Experience with the development and prioritization of maintenance, repair, energy, utility, and construction projects of varying size, scope, and technical knowledge to meet the needs and demands of constantly evolving mission. Experience applying expert knowledge of the Regional Base Operations Support contract. Experience providing technical input into special projects and contracts packages for the acquisition of services and equipment. Experience providing facility/building system information in support of space allocation, relocation, and modification decision making. Experience managing and coordinating construction, maintenance, repair, energy, and utility projects for buildings and adjacent real estate. Experience coordinating engineering studies and engineering designs; planning and scheduling of projects; providing technical oversight of vendors and contractors during the execution of facilities maintenance projects such as scheduling, quality control, tracking project budgets, and executing final closeout and turnover to end user.
