What you can expect
Join Zoom's Office of the CTO for a transformative summer internship where you'll shape the future of AI-powered collaboration. You'll work at the intersection of AI Services and Agentic Search, contributing to product decisions that define how Zoom's core AI capabilities are built, delivered, and scaled to millions of users worldwide. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly influence roadmap priorities, platform architecture decisions, and the user experience of ZoomMate and Zoom AI Companion. You'll collaborate with senior leaders, ship real features, and gain deep exposure to production-scale AI systems, all while developing the strategic thinking and execution skills that define world-class product managers.
About the Team
You'll join Zoom's Office of the CTO, the team responsible for defining and building the foundational AI platform that powers Zoom's entire product portfolio. We work on cutting-edge challenges at the intersection of large language models, semantic search, knowledge retrieval, and enterprise-grade AI infrastructure. Our team operates in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where product managers, engineers, data scientists, and design partners work together to bring transformative AI experiences to life. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in AI product management, work alongside senior technical leaders, and contribute to products used by hundreds of millions of people.
Responsibilities
Shape AI Services strategy by working with engineering and platform teams to define how foundational AI capabilities (LLMs, speech, translation, summarization, and safety) are packaged, governed, and exposed across Zoom's product surface
Drive Agentic Search initiatives by contributing to the roadmap for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval features that power ZoomMate and Zoom AI Companion
Conduct competitive and market research on the AI services and agentic search landscape - covering LLM orchestration, vector search, tool-use, and enterprise knowledge retrieval - and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, legal/privacy, and go-to-market teams to move features from concept to launch
Develop and track product metrics by defining success criteria, instrumenting KPIs, and analyzing usage and cost data to inform prioritization
Create product artifacts including PRDs, user stories, roadmap slides, and executive-ready presentations
Participate in sprint planning, standups, and design reviews as a full member of the product team

Show genuine curiosity about AI infrastructure, large language models, and intelligent search systems
Work independently and manage multiple workstreams effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bring prior PM internship or product-adjacent experience such as engineering, UX research, data analysis, or strategy consulting (preferred)
Apply familiarity with LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, or semantic search systems (preferred)
Leverage experience with AI platform or API-based product development, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure AI (preferred)
