Provides overall leadership and strategic direction for store operations by developing associates, driving operational excellence, and executing company initiatives. Oversees financial performance through effective management of sales, expenses, merchandising, inventory flow, and operational processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. What you'll do...
Leadership & Strategic Direction
Develops, communicates, and executes a strategic vision aligned with company, market, and local business plans to guide store operations, merchandising, and overall business direction.
Leads and develops salaried managers and hourly associates in complex and fast-paced retail environments.
Provides direction, coaching, and support to leadership teams to ensure operational excellence and consistent execution of company initiatives.
Communicates business priorities, operational updates, merchandising strategies, and company direction effectively across all levels of the organization.
Champions change initiatives by aligning teams, setting expectations, and driving accountability for results.
Associate Development & Talent Management
Recruits, hires, trains, mentors, and develops associates and leaders to build high-performing teams and strong succession pipelines.
Addresses workforce challenges such as high turnover, engagement concerns, recruiting difficulties, and associate development opportunities.
Conducts performance evaluations, provides recognition, and fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, and belonging.
Supports workforce development through mentorship, coaching, and continuous learning opportunities.
Creates an inclusive workplace where associates feel respected, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Customer Experience Excellence
Models exceptional customer service behaviors and reinforces Walmart's One Best Way (OBW) service standards.
Ensures customer concerns and issues are resolved effectively and in alignment with company guidelines.
Drives customer-focused initiatives that improve service quality, operational consistency, and overall shopping experience.
Maintains high operational standards to ensure merchandise availability, accurate pricing, proper signing, and store readiness.
Leads associates and managers in delivering a positive, customer-first culture throughout the facility.
Financial & Operational Performance
Drives sales and financial performance by analyzing key business metrics, Profit & Loss statements, forecasting trends, and controlling expenses.
Oversees merchandising execution, inventory flow, replenishment processes, seasonal transitions, and operational efficiency.
Implements strategies to reduce shrink, improve productivity, and achieve sales and profit goals.
Develops and executes action plans to address operational or financial performance gaps.
Partners with market leadership to improve margins, increase sales, and align business strategies with customer and community needs.
Compliance, Safety & Asset Protection
Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Oversees asset protection, operational audits, safety reviews, and quality assurance processes.
Develops and implements corrective action plans to address compliance or operational deficiencies.
Maintains strong relationships with federal, state, and local agencies when necessary.
Upholds Walmart's Open Door Policy by addressing associate concerns fairly, consistently, and professionally.
Community Engagement & Public Relations
Leads community outreach and engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships between the store and the local community.
Represents Walmart professionally with community leaders, organizations, and media representatives when applicable.
Supports company-sponsored programs, sustainability efforts, and community involvement initiatives.
Encourages associates and leaders to actively participate in community service and outreach programs.
Navigates challenging or high-visibility situations while protecting the company's reputation and values.
Academy & Operational Excellence
Supports Walmart Academy initiatives by maintaining store standards and fostering a strong learning environment for trainees and associates.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $170,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
