Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in daily storage and logistics operations by safely operating a forklift to load, unload, and move storage containers while maintaining an organized and efficient facility. This position supports routing and staging activities, performs basic equipment inspections, completes paperwork and data entry, and collaborates closely with drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and pickups. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, physically active work and takes pride in safety, organization, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, and move storage containers throughout the facility and yard.
Stage containers in designated areas to support daily routing, deliveries, and pickups.
Assist with daily routing activities, including coordinating container placement and supporting logistics planning.
Perform routine equipment inspections on forklifts and related tools to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both warehouse and outdoor settings.
Handle basic paperwork and perform data entry related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and container movements.
Support drivers by coordinating container readiness, assisting with loading and unloading, and communicating any special handling needs.
Participate in general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, loading, unloading, and inventory control as needed.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of equipment and adherence to facility protocols.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of materials.
Essential Skills
Proven forklift operating experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
Ability to safely load, unload, and move containers and materials using a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
Strong safety awareness and commitment to following safety procedures and conducting basic equipment inspections.
Basic computer skills, including data entry for inventory, shipping, receiving, and routing information.
Experience with general warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, loading, unloading, and inventory control.
Ability to work in a physically active role, including frequent lifting, moving, and operating heavy equipment.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with drivers and team members.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with container repair or maintenance, including the ability to fix minor container damage when needed.
Knowledge of routing or logistics coordination, including assisting with planning and optimizing delivery routes.
Previous experience in a warehouse, storage, or logistics environment with familiarity in storage operations and inventory handling systems.
Comfort working in both indoor warehouse and outdoor yard settings.
Attention to detail when handling paperwork, data entry, and inventory documentation.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse and outdoor yard setting, where you work both inside the storage facility and outside handling containers. The schedule follows a first-shift pattern from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The environment is physically active and fast-paced, with frequent lifting, moving, and operating heavy equipment throughout the day to support steady deliveries, pickups, and logistics operations. The workplace places a strong emphasis on safety, including adherence to procedures, regular equipment checks, and maintaining a clean, organized facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
