Job Description
The Warehouse Associate safely operates sit-down forklifts to move oversized pallets and plastic lumber, supports production by staging raw materials for machine operators, and maintains accurate inventory through order picking, shipment verification, and use of warehouse inventory systems. This role works a daytime schedule and plays a key part in keeping warehouse operations efficient, organized, and on time.
Responsibilities
Operate sit-down forklifts safely and efficiently to relocate oversized pallets and plastic lumber throughout the warehouse.
Stage and organize raw materials for machine operators to ensure continuous production and prevent downtime.
Pick orders accurately and prepare materials for shipment according to work orders and customer requirements.
Verify shipments by checking quantities, product @types, and documentation against packing lists and bills of lading.
Perform general labor and material handling tasks, including loading and unloading trucks and moving products within the facility.
Handle shipping and receiving activities, including labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers such as UPS.
Use warehouse inventory systems, computers, RF scanners, and related technology to track inventory and complete warehouse functions.
Conduct inventory activities such as cycle counts and stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
Follow established safety procedures and guidelines while operating forklifts and performing all warehouse duties.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including managing debris and materials in a manufacturing environment where plastic lumber is produced.
Support team members and communicate effectively with production and warehouse staff to meet daily operational goals.
Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2+ years of warehouse experience operating a sit-down forklift.
Proven ability to safely operate sit-down forklifts with oversized pallets and materials.
Experience with general labor and material handling in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in loading, shipping, and receiving operations.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Experience using computers for warehouse functions, including data entry and inventory tracking.
Proficiency with warehouse inventory systems and processes, including order picking and inventory management.
Experience using RF scanners for order fulfillment and inventory control.
Familiarity with bills of lading and basic shipping documentation.
Experience working with UPS or similar parcel carriers in a warehouse setting.
Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Ability to work safely and effectively in a hot, manufacturing-based warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in facilities handling recycled or plastic materials.
Familiarity with cycle counting and other periodic inventory control practices.
Comfort working in environments that can be dirty at times while maintaining personal and area cleanliness.
Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments, picking orders, and updating inventory records.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks to support continuous production.
Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and equipment as operations evolve.
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with production, shipping, and warehouse teams.
Reliability and punctuality in adhering to scheduled work hours.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing warehouse that produces plastic lumber from recycled materials. The environment can be hot and occasionally dirty due to the nature of the production process, and employees are expected to keep their individual areas clean and orderly. You will work around heavy equipment, forklifts, and large plastic lumber products, using computers, RF scanners, and inventory systems to support daily operations. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities for overtime. The facility focuses on innovative recycled plastic lumber products for a variety of outdoor markets and high-value applications, creating a fast-paced setting where safety, cleanliness, and teamwork are essential.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
