Metabolism Senior Formulations Scientist

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Labcorp Early Development Laboratories Inc. has an opening for a Metabolism Senior Formulations Scientist in Madison, WI. Draft methods for formulation of vehicle and test article. Conserve test article usage when preparing test article estimations and monitors test article usage to prevent waste throughout formulation of all compounds. Review and interpret study data. Assist the supervisors and laboratory management. Direct technical operations, troubleshoot, supply management, and employee training. Devise and implement new methods and systems. Serve as application administrator for systems or oversee application administrators. Perform Research and Development projects as directed by Management. Stay current on Drug Metabolism technologies and assists Management with the Capital Budget planning by recommending upgrades and improvements. Work with in life operations and dose formulations staff to prepare the formulations schedule, revise schedule as needed, assign team members to tasks, review all protocols prior to study start for accuracy, and works directly with Study Direction to resolve any issues prior to study start and throughout the conduct of studies as necessary. Complete special projects including efficiency and Process Excellence initiatives annually. Assist management with interpreting cost center statements and managing financial performance by ensuring that supply costs are kept within target levels. Work with Study Direction and Management to resolve Client issues and participate in Client interactions including tours, demonstrations, resolutions, and debriefs. Work with Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and other related areas as appropriate to develop proposals for Client projects. Work with Global teams as required to assist all Labcorp dose formulation efforts. Up to 5% national travel. Must possess at least a bachelor\'s degree or its equivalent in Chemistry, Physical Science, Biological Science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Laboratory Associate, Research Associate or related role. Must also possess the following: at least 3 years of experience with dose formulations; at least 3 years of experience completing complex mathematical calculations including percents, molarity, ratios, application of correction factors, and test article estimations and projections; and at least 1 year of experience with GLPs.
