Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Submarine Local Area Network/Communications(LAN/COMMS) Branch (273B), Submarine Programs & Systems Division (270), Chief Engineer Code (200A), Engineering Department Code (200), Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Norfolk, Virginia of MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CTR. Responsibilities You will develop, modify and/or interpret performance standards. You will provide advice and counsel to both the MARMC Chief Engineer and the Submarine Programs and Systems Division Director. You will convey technical information to the appropriate levels of management both within and outside of MARMC. You will monitor and oversee the work of MARMC subject matter expert in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment. You will establish and maintain metrics and measures that are aligned in support of command, department, division and branch initiatives and goals. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with Submarine Electronic Systems or Submarine Network Systems by evaluating the material condition of ships' systems and implementing corrective action(s). Experience creating an inclusive workplace that fosters equal employment, developing and mentoring, instilling cooperation, teamwork and resolving conflicts to inspire people to meet the organization's vision, mission and goals. Experience assigning work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees, and ensuring subordinates have the capabilities and resources to accomplish their tasks. Experience providing guidance and technical oversight to maintain proper performance of shipboard systems. Experience being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and providing support during all phases of a ship readiness cycle.
