Pay: $69.65 - $111.44 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
The Regional Director of Finance is the finance leader for a designated region within the UCHealth Medical Group, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer of the Medical Group. This role has full accountability for regional financial performance and serves as a trusted advisor to clinical and operational leadership.
This highly visible position translates complex financial and physician compensation data into actionable insights, enabling informed decision-making and supporting sustainable, financially responsible growth across a multi-site environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Regional Director plays a key role in the health system's strategic and operational efforts by:
Financial Performance: Lead regional financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis; identify root causes and drive performance improvement
Operating Rhythm: Own Monthly Operating Reviews (MOR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) for the region within the medical group
Strategic Partnership: Advise clinical and operational leaders; communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial audiences
Physician Compensation: Review, validate, and communicate compensation results; support compensation model design in partnership with centralized teams
Cross-Functional Leadership: Work across-department interaction across legal, revenue cycle, compliance, accounting, decision support, physician compensation, and system leadership
Growth & Planning: Support pro forma modeling, business case development, and financially responsible growth initiatives
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field
5+ years of progressive healthcare finance experience
Demonstrated ability to explain financial and compensation concepts to clinical leadership
Experience working with senior leadership in a complex, matrixed healthcare environment
Multi-site or large medical group experience preferred
