Accounting Assistant

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in construction, restoration, insurance, or project-based accounting is preferred but not required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Prepare and submit customer invoices Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reporting Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Support month-end and year-end closing activities Assist with job costing and project tracking Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation Communicate with customers, vendors, and insurance carriers regarding billing questions Prepare reports and spreadsheets as requested by management Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal: Associate\'s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred 1-5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience. (Will take entry level) Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience Construction, restoration, service industry, or project-based accounting experience Job costing experience Payroll processing experience Insurance billing or claims-related experience ** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail a Rsum: tracyk@service1ststaffing.com Call For Appointment: 715-898-1275 This position is listed by a private employment agency.
