Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our Fairview, NC team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will work well in a collaborative environment, demonstrate a strong attention to detail, and be eager to learn new skills. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble precision components, following standard work instructions with consistent attention to quality.
Use microscopes, small hand tools, and fixtures to complete assemblies as required.
Inspect completed work using established quality standards and conduct pull tests as needed.
Measure components with calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices.
Ensure products align with engineering prints and specifications.
Complete required operational paperwork to maintain product traceability.
Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company EH&S policies and procedures.
Follow all company, departmental, and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 6 months' experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Knowledge of manufacturing principles such as safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to interpret product blueprints is a plus.
Experience using precision measuring devices (calipers, gauges, etc.) preferred.
Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
Available to work overtime to meet production goals.
Able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
Able to remain in a stationary position for up to 75% of the shift, operate machinery, and move between work zones as needed.
Proficient in reading and understanding written instructions in English.
