About the team:
The Global Procurement team supporting Last Mile, Fleet, and Energy plays a vital role in Walmart's supply chain by driving strategic sourcing and operational scalability across transportation and delivery networks. This team partners with cross-functional groups to manage complex categories such as delivery providers, fleet assets, and related technologies. Focused on cost efficiency, reliability, and innovation, the team advances priorities including last mile delivery, fleet optimization, and charging initiatives. Through disciplined sourcing and strong governance, it mitigates risks, enhances financial performance, and optimizes service quality, directly impacting speed to customer and overall experience.
What you'll do:
Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies for complex, high-spend categories to achieve business goals and cost efficiencies.
Manage supplier relationships through performance tracking, risk mitigation, and contract oversight to ensure compliance and delivery excellence.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, applying financial analysis and total cost of ownership models to inform sourcing decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement process enhancements.
Mentor and develop procurement associates, fostering a high-performing, accountable team environment.
Drive data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced analytics and partnering with relevant stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
Extensive experience in procurement management, category strategy, and strategic sourcing within complex, high-spend environments.
Proven ability to lead supplier relationship management and contract negotiation to optimize cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
Strong financial acumen with expertise in total cost of ownership modeling, financial analysis, and business case development.
Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, influencing cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Effective leadership capabilities in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams aligned with business goals.
Proficiency in change management and applying data-driven insights to enhance procurement strategies and operational performance.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
