Summary This Management Analyst functions as the Program Specialist (Medical Administration Process Improvement) for the Business Office (BO) within Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, reporting directly to the Chief of the BO. This position is primarily responsible for the implementation of streamlined processes & procedures that will systematically improve processes both within the Business Office and associated processes throughout the VAMC, including Community Clinics. Responsibilities The core duties of this position include but are not limited to: Assists in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results and establishes protocols for incoming data, organizing and retrieving computerized data Plans and organizes assignments, coordinating with staff and line management personnel, and conducting all phases of the project Identifies needs, conceptualizes, develops, executes, and evaluates the effectiveness of training provided Identifies trends and problem areas and develops and initiates action plans to address deficiencies both with Business Office and non-Business Office employees. Develops and/or conducts training to specific medical center populations on additional topics Organizes and conducts projects, develops and presents recommendations for new or unique situations for which there is often no precedent Handles projects, evaluations, reports, or recommendations which are reviewed by the supervisor for compatibility with organizational goals, guidelines, and effectiveness in achieving intended objectives Develops data capture and electronic reporting procedures in order to track the progress of quality & process improvement program management initiatives Analyzes a large number of variables and reviews technical manuals, policies, directives, and possibly professional literature for suggested solutions Helps create action plans to correct deficiencies/errors identified during audits, including audits conducted by external entities such as compliance Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Telework: This position may be authorized for Ad-Hoc telework.
