What You'll Do
As an Automotive Sales Manager at Eatontown Ford, you will lead daily sales operations, driving both volume and profitability while ensuring an exceptional, transparent customer experience. You will coach and develop a team of Customer Experience Managers, ensuring full utilization of CRM tools, strong prospecting habits, and consistent execution of dealership processes. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives on the showroom floor, builds high-performing teams, and takes ownership of results.
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Customer Experience Managers to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
Drive daily sales activity to meet or exceed volume, gross profit, and F&I targets by committing the team to process and daily business development activities
Maintain strong CRM discipline, ensuring consistent prospecting, follow-up, and task completion
Support and desk deals, working directly with the team to structure and close transactions
Drive used vehicle performance by aggressively managing online pricing competitiveness, executing precise trade evaluations, and tightly controlling reconditioning costs and turn times to maximize inventory ROI and profitability
Stay actively engaged on the showroom floor to assist with customers and drive deal progression
Ensure a seamless, transparent buying experience aligned with the dealership's "Best Price Upfront" model that includes customer follow up on every OTDB
Monitor team performance and provide real-time coaching to improve productivity and results
Maintain high CSI by quickly resolving customer concerns and supporting positive outcomes
Stay current on Ford products, incentives, and market conditions to guide the team effectively
Support inventory awareness and pricing accuracy, with a strong focus on used vehicle performance and by completing daily lot walks with the staff
Foster a high-energy, team-oriented environment focused on delivering a "World Class Experience" in our one price environment
All other duties as assigned by leadership
What You'll Bring
2-5+ years of automotive sales management experience; Ford or domestic brand experience preferred
Strong track record of achieving sales volume targets, profitability goals, and maintaining high CSI
Deep understanding of CRM-driven sales processes, including prospecting, activity management, and follow-up discipline
Proficiency with tools such as Elead CRM, vAuto inventory management, and CDK DMS
Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the showroom floor, leading by example
Strong knowledge of Ford product lineup and ability to coach teams to success
Used vehicle experience strongly preferred given high used-to-new sales mix
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and team-building skills
Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
Total Rewards
$150,000 - $180,000/annually; This is a performance-based position that offers a base/draw/hourly offset with opportunities for commission and bonus incentives.
Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
