Job Title: Warehouse Technician - Supply Store
Job Description
This role supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced distribution environment. The Warehouse Technician ensures inventory integrity, maintains a steady workflow, and upholds all safety and quality standards while operating material handling equipment and driving a non-CDL box truck that requires DOT certification.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and product condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
Process materials into inventory by accurately labeling, staging, and storing items in designated warehouse locations.
Use material handling equipment to load and unload trucks, manage inbound and outbound shipments, and move materials into and out of warehouse racks and between locations.
Handle inbound freight from parcel and freight carriers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners, pick lists, or warehouse management system (WMS)-directed tasks to meet daily shipping deadlines.
Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and labeling according to customer and carrier requirements.
Stock and arrange products to support efficient warehouse turns of inventory and maintain organized storage areas.
Determine accurate material quantities through regular cycle counting and other inventory control activities.
Receive material into inventory, move material between designated locations, and locate or pick material to and from warehouse locations as required.
Ensure accurate entry of part numbers, quantities, and related data fields in electronic systems to maintain correct records of receipts, inventories, and locations.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving material quantities, part numbers, and inventory records.
Locate parts while ensuring pallets are stable, pallet heights are within guidelines, and material, racking, and equipment remain undamaged.
Ensure that materials are stored safely and not left in aisles or other unsafe locations.
Operate assigned material handling equipment safely and efficiently, following all operating procedures.
Inspect material handling equipment prior to use and confirm it is in safe operating condition.
Report all accidents, near misses, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions promptly to supervision.
Practice safe material handling techniques at all times to protect people, products, and equipment.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, internal audits, and timely reporting of discrepancies or damaged goods.
Support production and shipping teams by staging materials, replenishing stock, and coordinating the flow of goods throughout the facility.
Document all warehouse transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure real-time accuracy of inventory records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in shipping, receiving, production, and quality to resolve issues and maintain efficient operations.
Assist with special projects such as reorganizing warehouse layouts, implementing process improvements, and supporting peak-season volume.
Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet operational demands.
Drive a non-CDL box truck requiring DOT certification to support transportation of materials as needed.
Uphold all safety, quality, and compliance standards in a role designated as safety sensitive.
Essential Skills
Experience working in a warehouse or fast-paced distribution environment with responsibilities for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials.
Proficiency in using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and similar tools to move products safely throughout the facility.
Ability to safely operate assigned material handling equipment and follow all safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines.
Capability to drive a non-CDL box truck and obtain or hold the required DOT certification.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when verifying incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
Ability to accurately process materials into inventory, including labeling, staging, and storing items in designated locations.
Skill in picking and packing customer orders using RF scanners, pick lists, or WMS-directed tasks.
Experience preparing outbound shipments, including packaging, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and labeling to meet customer and carrier requirements.
Competence in maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and timely reporting of discrepancies or damaged goods.
Ability to use a warehouse management system (WMS) or similar software to document warehouse transactions and maintain real-time inventory records.
Strong organizational skills for stocking and arranging products to support efficient warehouse turns of inventory.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies involving material quantities, part numbers, and inventory records.
Commitment to practicing safe material handling techniques and following all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Capability to support production and shipping teams by staging materials, replenishing stock, and coordinating the flow of goods.
Willingness and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required to meet operational needs.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as shipping, receiving, production, and quality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
The position is based in a warehouse and supply store environment within a fast-paced distribution setting. You will work a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed. Daily work involves frequent use of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, and other warehouse tools, as well as operating a non-CDL box truck that requires DOT certification. You will regularly load and unload trucks, move pallets, and work in and around warehouse racks and storage locations. The role requires consistent adherence to safety procedures, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following equipment inspection protocols, and maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. The environment emphasizes safe material handling, accurate use of a warehouse management system (WMS), and close collaboration with shipping, receiving, production, and quality teams to support smooth and efficient operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
