About the Work Unit
The mission of the Colorado State Patrol is to ensure a safe and secure environment for all persons by utilizing the strengths of its members and providing professional law enforcement services that reflect honor, duty, and respect. Through high visibility, strict enforcement, maximum resource deployment, and community education, the CSP promotes safety, protects lives, and preserves state highways.
Work Environment
Primarily 8:00 am - 5:00 pm work hours, Monday-Friday
Approximately 100% spent in the office during training
Potential for hybrid (1-2 days remote per week) after the completion of training
Occasional travel during working hours
About the Job
These are temporary positions (9 months or less).
Employees appointed in these positions are considered non-permanent employees in the Temporary Aide class series.
Temporary aides are not eligible for benefits and paid leave (including holiday and/or administrative leave), except as required by law.
Temporary aides will earn paid sick leave, accruing one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked (balance is capped at 48 hours).
During time of employment, these positions will work at least 40 hours a week and are eligible for paid overtime.
This position will work with and support the Communications Branch to manage and coordinate all Branch/Agency projects through the use of standard industry project management principles and methodologies. Understands the agency's mission, programs, objectives, and organizational structure in order to prioritize work activities based on organizational goals and situational pressures. Effectively plans and organizes work activities and prioritizes task completion to meet schedules and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide management assistance and hands-on work with 20 separate IT related projects, including but not limited to:
Ordering/inventorying/tracking/provisioning/issuing police radios and cellphones, and assisting with disparate technology efforts (including phone and Computer Aided Dispatch administration, help desk support, and trouble ticket resolution).
Accurate documentation of pertinent information.
Prioritize tasks that may be of similar urgency.
Properly handle confidential information.
Handle multiple tasks at a given moment.
Operate complex equipment & software.
Adhere to policies & procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
All applicants, military and civilian, must be 18 years of age.
High school diploma or a G.E.D.
Two (2) years of customer service experience and two (2) years of client management experience.
