POSITION: Executive Director
PRIMARY DUTIES: to oversee all functions pertaining to the Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center. This includes training and supervision of staff, offices, committees, events, membership, volunteers, income and expenditures, policies, and long-range planning and goals for the successful growth, image, and financial well-being of the Snyder Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center. Quarterly and annual reports are presented to the City Council in compliance with the terms of the annual City-Chamber contract.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW: Initially, the board will evaluate the Executive Director every six months for the first year of employment and yearly thereafter.

SCHEDULE: Flexible hours are determined by the needs, functions, and events, which come under the duties and operations of the Chamber of Commerce and visitor center. Regular office hours are 9:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The Chamber will be closed from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. for lunch when possible.
VACATION: All chamber employees will accrue one days paid vacation per month, per year from October to September. The vacation calendar will be kept at the chamber office, and it will be each individual employees responsibility to schedule vacations according to availability. All vacations are subject to approval by the Executive Director of Snyder Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center.
HOLIDAYS: There will be 12 official calendar holidays per year (see policies and procedures for specific dates)
SICK LEAVE: There will be 10 paid sick days per year. These can also be used for illness in the employees immediate family.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: Because of the unpredictable working schedule of the chamber, and its often-overlapping events, special consideration for time off will be given by the Executive Director of the Snyder Chamber of Commerce.

Establish system of measuring progress of program and goal attainment
CHAMBER STRUCTURE AND PROCEDURES
Be constantly attentive to Chamber structure for maximum efficiency in identifying Chamber and /or tourism problems
Recommend such structure or procedure changes as needed to the Board
MOTIVATION OF VOLUNTEERS
Inspire volunteers to creative and fruitful action of Chamber effectiveness
INCOME AND EXPENSES
As approved by the Board, is responsible for all expenditures within the framework of the budget
Maintain and control Hotel Occupancy Tax revenues and expenditures
Review monthly financial statements
Ensure compilation of the financial records annually
Seek maximum staff efficiency in all financial procedures
MEMBERSHIP
Works to ensure the chamber meets the needs of the membership through active contact with members
STAFF AND FACILITIES
Responsible for employment, assignment, and supervision of all personnel, and the establishment, with the consultation of the Board of the terms of their employment
Delegate to employees, board, volunteers, and merchants based on their strengths and abilities
As approved by the Board, responsible for maintenance of the Chamber facilities to provide efficient operation and an attractive front door for the Chamber and Visitor Center
LIAISON
Earn and maintain the respect and confidence of the Board individually and collectively
Responsible for the preparation of the agenda, maintenance of Board minutes and records, and carrying out the plans and programs in accordance with established policies
Advise the Board on all matters under consideration
