Twin Peaks Ranch State Park is seeking a Park Hospitality Lead to oversee facility cleanliness, coordinate housekeeping operations, and help develop a gold-standard hospitality program at one of Idaho's most unique state parks.

As the Park Hospitality Lead, you will work closely with the Park Manager to implement and lead a robust hospitality program. Your responsibilities will include managing cleaning schedules for rental cabins and public spaces, overseeing laundry operations, ordering and stocking janitorial supplies, and supporting guest readiness across the park. You will lead and train seasonal staff, establish high standards for cleanliness, and ensure that all lodging facilities are clean, safe, and guest-ready.
In this hands-on role, you will perform deep-cleaning and light facility maintenance, coordinate the turnover of cabins and bunkhouses, and set the tone for visitor experience through your professionalism, attention to detail, and leadership. You will also assist with ordering furnishings for rental units, support concessionaire recruitment, and contribute to administrative functions to ensure smooth operations behind the scenes.
This role is well-suited for someone who takes pride in hands-on, independent work while also providing guidance to others. Your efforts will play a key part in maintaining high standards and supporting a positive experience for overnight guests and day visitors alike.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadwork / Training
Creates priorities for completion of cleaning and facility preparation projects.
Resolves problems associated with staff assignments and daily operations.
Schedules and monitors daily cleaning and turnover of rental facilities based on reservations.
Develops training procedures for seasonal housekeeping staff in proper and safe housekeeping, laundry, and custodial practices, including the use and maintenance of equipment.
Supervises and oversees the daily work of assigned seasonal employees.
Reviews work to ensure compliance with established cleanliness standards, safety practices, and park policies.
Prepares performance evaluations and provides feedback to seasonal employees.
Maintains records of employee work hours, rental turnovers, supply inventories, and facility readiness.
Coordinates with park management to ensure rental facilities are clean, stocked, available, and prepared for scheduled arrivals and events.
Reports operational issues, visitor concerns, and staffing needs to the immediate supervisor.
Cleaning / Maintenance
Repairs and assembles room furnishings; installs and repairs facility fixtures such as lights and sockets; assists with installation of plumbing fixtures such as toilets, sinks, faucets, and showers.
Performs light repairs to laundry equipment (e.g., dryer belts, washer belts) and assists with equipment installation.
Performs and leads others in the deep cleaning, routine cleaning, and upkeep of rental accommodations, including cabins, bunkhouses, yurts, and houses.
Cleans, sanitizes, and resets rental units after visitor departure, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and welcoming.
Strips and makes beds, launders linens and towels, and restocks units with necessary supplies.
Dusts, mops, vacuums, and polishes furniture, floors, woodwork, walls, windows, and fixtures.
Removes waste, debris, adhesives, and consumable supplies from rentals and public spaces.
Selects appropriate cleaning products and ensures correct mixing, handling, and application according to manufacturer guidelines.
Tracks supply needs, places orders within budget guidelines, and stocks custodial closets and rental units appropriately.
Organizes and maintains clean, orderly supply and laundry areas to support turnover operations.
Sweeps, strips, seals, and waxes floors; refinishes floors as needed for carpet replacement or specialty flooring.
Moves and arranges furniture, appliances, and other heavy items in rental facilities.
Sets up and assists with cleaning and preparing facilities for special events, including tables, chairs, and equipment.
Sets up and climbs ladders and scaffolding for cleaning or minor maintenance tasks.
Shovels snow and operates snowblowers to maintain safe access to visitor facilities.
Reports building maintenance needs promptly, including equipment failures, facility damage, or supply shortages.
Provides basic direction and assistance to visitors regarding facility use when necessary.
Equipment Operation / Security
Operates washers, dryers, vacuums, wet/dry pickup machines, and other custodial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Performs routine and preventive maintenance on cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Uses carts, dollies, and hand tools to transport supplies, move furniture, and complete basic maintenance tasks.
Operates small powered hand tools such as drills, impacts, and cutoff saws.
Operates snowblowers and other snow-removal equipment to maintain safe facility access.
Replaces belts, brushes, and bearings in custodial and laundry equipment as needed.
Ensures rental facilities and storage areas are secured after cleaning, including locking doors, securing windows, and turning off lights and appliances.
Reports safety hazards, fire risks, equipment malfunctions, and other emergencies promptly to the immediate supervisor.
Maintains awareness of and adheres to proper safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals, mechanical equipment, and tools.
Additional Information:
Performs physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
Assists the Park Manager with purchasing, supply account creation and management, reservations, and other administrative tasks.
Regularly lifts, carries, and moves items weighing up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds (e.g., furniture, laundry bags, cleaning equipment, supply boxes).
Regularly pushes or pulls carts, vacuums, and furniture during turnover and cleaning processes.
Stands and walks for extended periods, often on uneven or hard surfaces.
Climbs ladders and scaffolding to clean or access elevated areas.
Works in hot, cold, or humid conditions and around cleaning chemicals, dust, and indoor/outdoor allergens.
Minimum Qualifications:
Good knowledge of the methods, materials, and equipment used in heavy-duty custodial work, including related safety practices. Typically gained by two to four years of custodial experience performing heavy-duty cleaning tasks, applying safety practices, and operating industrial equipment; OR completion of related coursework, vocational training, or certifications; OR a combination of education and experience.
Good knowledge of cleaning agents and related products and their possible reactions. Typically gained by two to four years of experience selecting, mixing, and safely using cleaning agents and products in a custodial setting; OR completion of coursework, vocational training, or certifications focused on chemical safety or custodial practices; OR a combination of education and experience.
Some knowledge of supervisory practices. Typically gained by six months to two years of experience assisting in training, guiding, or leading custodial staff; OR completion of coursework or training in supervision; OR a combination of education and experience.
Some knowledge of training methods used in custodial work and experience explaining the use and maintenance of custodial equipment. Typically gained by at least six months of experience developing or delivering on-the-job training in custodial procedures, including demonstrating the use and maintenance of cleaning equipment; OR completion of coursework or training in instructional methods or custodial training programs; OR a combination of education and experience.
Some knowledge of sanitation and infection control. Typically gained by six months to two years of experience applying sanitation and infection control protocols in a custodial, health, or facility setting; OR completion of coursework or training in sanitation or infection control; OR a combination of education and experience.
Experience operating industrial-@type high-speed cleaning equipment. Typically gained by at least six months of experience operating industrial cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, or carpet extractors.
Experience performing minor maintenance on custodial equipment, including the use of hand tools to make basic repairs. Typically gained by at least six months of experience maintaining and repairing custodial equipment using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, or pliers.
