Essential Functions Statement(s)\ Perform and document in-process, first article, receiving and final inspections on aircraft parts and processes\ \ Read and interpret information from planning documents, tool design, blueprints, specifications and quality inspection procedures to develop clear, complete and precise records of inspection\ \ Calibrate inspection tools and equipment prior to using Interface with other individuals from various departments on issues related to quality\ \ Provide and assist operators in understanding and interpreting quality specifications and procedures Initiate and prepare nonconformance reports and provide to QA administrators\ \ Conduct internal audits as required Suggests new and improved methods for continuous improvement of the quality management system\ \ Perform other tasks as assigned\ \ POSITION QUALIFICATIONS\ Competency Statement(s)\ Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.\ \ Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.\ Applied Learning - Ability to participate in needed learning activities in a way that makes the most of the learning experience.\ Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.\ Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.\ Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.\ Ethical - Ability to demonstrate conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.\ Honesty / Integrity - Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.\ Initiative - Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.\ Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information.\ Self Motivated - Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of ones ability using his or her own drive or initiative.\ Persistence - Ability to complete tasks or continue in a course of action in spite of opposition or discouragement.\ Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.\ Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.\ Safety Awareness - Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.\ Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.\ Responsible - Ability to be held accountable or answerable for ones conduct.\ \ SKILLS & ABILITIES\ Education:\ High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred\ \ Experience:\ 1 plus years of experience in Inspection\ \ Other Requirements:\ Familiar with precision tools\ \ WORK ENVIRONMENT\ Work is performed in shop conditions and can be in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit\ \ Licenses & Certifications\ \ Experience\ \ Education\ \ Motivations\ \ Behaviors
