Senior Director, Operations

We're seeking a seasoned leader within the life sciences industry to be the Senior Director of Operations at a leading biotech company in South San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities

Lead and optimize all operations to ensure efficiency, quality, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Build capabilities and allocate resources to support company growth and strategic goals.

Align operational activities with business needs through close partnership with Commercial and Finance.

Support product scale-up and improvement initiatives across teams.

Lead a high-performing team with clear accountability and disciplined budget management.

Provide transparent reporting to leadership on operational performance and risks.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline and 5+ years as Head of Operations, 10+ years of operations experience in biotech, life sciences, or a regulated manufacturing environment OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hands-on familiarity with microfluidic platforms

Expert in managing operations across multiple functional teams with the ability to drive results in a fast-moving company.

Knowledgeable of quality systems and compliance requirements.

Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively across functions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading operations within smaller companies and rolling out new products.

Compensation

Salary: $250 - 275K
