As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Screening in Minooka, IL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain required access records for associates, contractors, and transportation personnel.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, parking areas, gates, docks, and warehouse-related access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruption by observing site activity, following post orders, and communicating clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
