Summary You will serve as a Secretary (OA) in the CENTER FOR SUBMARINE. Responsibilities You will compose correspondence on administrative or factual matters (e.g., administrative matters, letters of acknowledgement, general office policies, acceptance of invitations, scheduling/cancellation of meetings). You will arrange travel using an automated travel system. You will coordinate appointment schedules (e.g., time allotted, sequence, importance) for senior management to alleviate scheduling conflicts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: This position requires the ability to @type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating travel arrangements such as airline, rental car, and hotel accommodations for higher level management; 2) Maintaining the supervisor's official and social calendar of appointments, including scheduling visitors, department head meetings, and conference scheduling; 3) Creating written and oral correspondence for letters, memorandums, and briefings; 4) Routing documentation requiring management signature and approval.
