Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler performs electrical and mechanical assembly, inspection, and testing of products by closely following released Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI). This role supports production, quality, and shipping activities within a clean, organized medical device manufacturing environment, while adhering to all applicable regulations and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical assembly of products using released Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI).
Carry out in-process and final testing on products in accordance with the approved MPI and other released procedures.
Perform incoming inspection of components and materials, and complete any required rework using the appropriate MPI.
Use common mechanical and electrical tools and instruments safely and correctly during assembly and testing activities.
Assist with preparing and shipping packages, following carrier specifications and documentation requirements as requested.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
Comply with FDA, international, and ISO regulations as they relate to manufacturing, inspection, and documentation.
Follow all safety guidelines and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor or appropriate personnel.
Use basic Excel functions to record, track, or review production and test data as required.
Perform other assignments and tasks as needed to support business requirements.
Essential Skills
Ability to read, understand, and follow Manufacturing Procedure Instructions (MPI) and other released procedures.
Experience using common mechanical tools such as hand tools and power tools.
Experience using common electrical tools and instruments for basic assembly and testing.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data entry and simple tracking.
Ability to perform mechanical assembly work with attention to detail and quality.
Capability to follow written and verbal instructions in a regulated environment.
Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and organization in the work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in assembly, production, or warehouse inventory environments.
Background in mechanical assembly or production work.
Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components.
Willingness to learn and be trained on medical device manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean and organized workspace within a small assembly area inside a warehouse. You will work closely with a team of about six people, including four assemblers, in a climate-controlled environment. The work involves using common mechanical and electrical tools and instruments, as well as computers with Excel for basic data entry and tracking. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards, creating a professional and comfortable setting for daily work.

This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
