Job Title: California State Certified General Electrician
Job Description
This role focuses on installing and maintaining a variety of electrical systems, including rooftop solar installations, ground-mounted systems, carport and shade structure systems, electric vehicle (EV) chargers, and battery energy storage systems. You apply your California state-certified general electrician expertise to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality electrical work across diverse outdoor project sites.
Responsibilities
Install, wire, and commission rooftop electrical systems, including solar and related equipment, in accordance with state codes and safety standards.
Install and configure ground-mounted electrical systems, ensuring proper layout, structural integrity, and electrical performance.
Build and wire carport and shade structure systems, including conduit runs, panelboards, and associated electrical components.
Install, connect, and test electric vehicle (EV) chargers, ensuring compliant and reliable operation.
Install and integrate battery energy storage systems, including wiring, protection devices, and control equipment.
Interpret and follow electrical plans, drawings, and specifications for each project.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical systems to ensure safe and correct operation.
Use appropriate tools, equipment, and safety gear to complete tasks safely at heights and in outdoor environments.
Climb ladders and access roofs, carports, and elevated structures to perform installations and maintenance.
Lift, carry, and position materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds as part of daily tasks.
Travel to project sites throughout California, typically Monday through Friday, to complete assigned work.
Maintain compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
Essential Skills
Current State of California General Electrician certificate.
Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program .
Proficiency in installing rooftop electrical systems, including solar and related equipment.
Experience installing ground-mounted electrical systems.
Experience installing electrical systems for carports and shade structures.
Ability to install and commission electric vehicle (EV) chargers.
Ability to install and integrate battery energy storage systems.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety practices, and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, diagrams, and specifications.
Capability to work safely at heights on roofs and elevated structures.
Ability to climb ladders, including roof access ladders ranging from 10 to 50 feet when a safety lift is not in use.
Ability to lift and move objects up to 70 pounds.
Willingness and ability to travel throughout California, typically Monday through Friday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Hands-on experience with outdoor electrical installations in varying weather conditions.
Comfort working on diverse project @types, including rooftop, ground mount, carport, and shade structures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work effectively as part of a field-based team across multiple job sites.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $93600.00/yr.
