Day-to-day

A client of Insight Global's is looking to add a Sr. Mechanical Structural Engineer to their growing team. This person will be responsible for in designing, analyzing, and validating mechanical and structural systems for defense applications. This position ensures compliance with military standards, safety regulations, and mission-critical performance requirements. designing shelters and mechanical modifications such as rack installations, ECU installations, entry panel installations and miscellaneous ancillary items. They will attend job kick-off meetings and participate in design reviews with customers, review customer requirements including customer specifications, Statements of Work, and interface drawings in order to ensure compliance with contract, provide technical input to CAD design team on various tasks, and review and approve drawings, create technical proposals, technical materials, and procurement specifications.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves

Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or civil engineering is a must

Experience working within an Architectural background with designing projects

6+ years of engineering experience

Ability to obtain a clearance

Must have experience with maintaining compliance through UFC, IBC, ANSI, and/or ASCE (framework of policies, procedures, training, and technology that helps an organization identify, track, and manage its obligations to ensure it adheres to laws, regulations, and internal policies)

International Building Code (IBC) compliance and experience with this is a must, it helps with compliance for seismic areas and codes Plusses:

Professional Engineer license from any state

DoD mission set background designing on DoD projects

SolidWorks experience and is the main designing software they utilize on projects but open to any designing software
