Job Description
This full-time, first-shift Maintenance Mechanic role (Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.) focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing production machinery, quality and inspection equipment, and facility systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-related issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives to keep manufacturing operations running safely, reliably, and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on production, quality, and inspection equipment to minimize downtime and ensure reliable operation.
Move, position, and align equipment so that machines run safely, accurately, and efficiently.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and implement machine and program modifications based on improvement ideas.
Troubleshoot and repair PLC, PC, NC, and CNC controls to restore and optimize automated equipment performance.
Perform electrical work and basic mechanical installations and repairs throughout the facility.
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems by following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings.
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electrical and electronic test equipment to diagnose issues.
Listen for unusual sounds from machinery or equipment, identify abnormalities, and collaborate with leadership to diagnose and resolve problems.
Dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts using precision measuring instruments and hand or power tools.
Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts to ensure smooth operation and extend equipment life.
Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Repair or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Repair and maintain the facility's physical structure to support a safe and efficient work environment.
Install new equipment and machinery according to blueprints and other technical specifications.
Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment using programmable controllers.
Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts for equipment repair or fabrication.
Fabricate and repair benches, partitions, and other wooden structures as needed to support operations.
Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment throughout the manufacturing facility and update records using preventive maintenance software.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in CNC machine repair, including troubleshooting and restoring CNC equipment to proper operation.
Ability to connect to PLCs and troubleshoot control issues to identify and correct faults.
Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, including diagnosing and repairing related systems.
Ability to identify electrical issues and perform effective repairs on industrial equipment and systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in disassembly, repair, and reassembly of industrial machinery.
Proficiency in electrical repair, including working with wiring, transformers, and electrical components.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic PLC programming or adjustments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, specifications, and schematic drawings.
Skill in using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and measuring and testing instruments in an industrial setting.
Experience with industrial maintenance tasks involving conduits, wiring, electronics, and control systems.
Capability to perform preventive maintenance and document activities using maintenance or PM software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PLC systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley is a strong plus.
Background in industrial maintenance environments involving CNC machines and automated equipment.
Comfort working with hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems, including layout and installation.
Basic welding and cutting torch skills for repair and fabrication tasks.
Experience fabricating or repairing simple wooden structures such as benches or partitions.
Familiarity with continuous improvement practices and implementing equipment or program modifications.

Work Environment
You will work in an air-conditioned manufacturing facility, providing a comfortable environment for performing hands-on maintenance tasks. The role follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., supporting predictable hours and routine. The work involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, cutting torches, welding equipment, and electronic test instruments, as well as interaction with CNC machines, PLCs, and other industrial control systems. The environment is production-focused yet controlled, with an emphasis on safety, equipment reliability, and preventive maintenance.
