The CDS&AI team is seeking a Data Scientist to
contribute to the development and delivery of data-driven solutions that
improve commercial and operational performance. In this role, you will work
within a collaborative team environment to translate business problems into
analytical solutions, with opportunities to grow into owning end-to-end
projects over time.
Primary Functions
Contribute to the development and enhancement of modelsand analytical tools (e.g., forecasting, optimization, performance measurement)
Partner with senior data scientists and businessstakeholders to identify key business problems and generate actionable insights
Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and dataassets to support analytics and modeling workflows
Apply statistical modeling and machine learningtechniques to solve business problems
Support model monitoring, validation, and performancetracking
Translate analytical findings into clear, digestibleinsights for stakeholders
Contribute to ad hoc analyses, including support forexecutive-level requests
Collaborate closely with teammates while developing theskills to independently drive analytical workstreams
Shape business decisions by translating analyticalfindings into clear, data-driven insights and recommendations for stakeholders
Operate with urgency and adaptability in a fast-pacedenvironment, effectively balancing multiple priorities and evolving businessneeds
Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset, proactivelyseeking opportunities to deepen domain expertise and take increasing ownershipof analytical work
Interest in becoming an airline domain expert
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
3-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or arelated quantitative field
Demonstrated experience working on end-to-end analyticalproblems, from data preparation through insight generation
Proficiency in Python and SQL, and familiarity withcommon machine learning libraries
Hands-on experience with data engineering concepts,including building and maintaining data pipelines, working with large datasets,and managing data transformations
Familiarity with software development best practices,including version control (e.g., Git), code organization, and reproducibility
Experience using agentic AI tools or coding assistants(e.g., Kiro, Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot) to improve development productivity
Exposure to machine learning and/or GenAI/LLM use cases
Ability to communicate analytical results clearly totechnical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a teamenvironment and manage multiple priorities
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self,others, and personal data.
Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high schoolequivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to workin the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics,mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field
Experience building or maintaining production-grade datapipelines or data products
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS,Azure) and modern data ecosystems
Exposure to deploying models or analytics solutions in aproduction environment
Familiarity with MLOps concepts (model versioning,monitoring, CI/CD workflows)
Experience with visualization tools and storytelling
Demonstrated curiosity and a strong desire to grow intomore complex problem-solving and independent ownership

Pay Range: $69400.00-$187400.00 annually
