The Lead Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, oversees and supports teams to ensure high-quality maintenance and landscaping operations. The Exterior Services team is committed to maintaining and enhancing Walmart's facilities through expert landscaping and upkeep. This team manages projects, ensures compliance with safety standards, and supports operational excellence by coordinating resources and schedules. Members utilize project management and budgeting skills to deliver quality results while adhering to established guidelines. Collaborating closely with internal and external partners, the team maintains safe and functional environments. Their focus on continuous improvement and attention to detail supports Walmart's mission to provide well-maintained facilities and exceptional service for associates and customers.
What you'll do:
Lead and support teams by coordinating work assignments and sharing resources to meet business priorities.
Supervise associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, providing feedback, and monitoring performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and external regulations such as OSHA and DOT.
Manage landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, pest control, and upkeep of garden beds and exterior areas.
Utilize technology to complete work orders, maintain records, and track progress.
Provide expert advice and training to associates, supporting their development and certification.
Address customer concerns promptly and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
What you'll bring:
Proven leadership experience in supervising and developing teams within facility or exterior services.
Strong knowledge of horticulture practices, including planting, pruning, pest management, and landscape maintenance.
Ability to coordinate work assignments, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Proficiency in using technology to manage work orders, maintain records, and support operational efficiency.
Excellent communication skills to provide guidance, feedback, and customer service effectively.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $56.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...
Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
21 years of age or older.
Valid, state-issued driver's license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the 3 years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last 3 years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification within 90 days of hire.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
