Job Title: Supply Chain Buyer / PlannerJob Description
This role supports day-to-day purchasing, planning, and inventory operations within a manufacturing and distribution environment. The Supply Chain Buyer / Planner ensures material availability, optimizes inventory levels, and supports production and demand planning to keep operations running smoothly. The position requires hands-on experience with NetSuite or Oracle Fusion and a strong background in supply chain operations.
Responsibilities
Execute purchasing and procurement activities, including creating and issuing purchase orders, communicating with vendors, and tracking orders from placement through delivery.
Support production planning and demand forecasting to ensure materials align with business needs and production schedules.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock, minimizing both excess inventory and shortages.
Collaborate closely with operations, production, and finance teams to ensure alignment across all supply chain functions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within NetSuite or Oracle Fusion ERP systems, including item records, purchase orders, and inventory transactions.
Analyze supply chain performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce lead times, and achieve cost savings.
Manage vendor relationships, monitor supplier performance, and address issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing.
Support materials management activities by ensuring timely availability of components, particularly for manufacturing and electrical components.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement, planning, and inventory management processes.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience with NetSuite or Oracle Fusion ERP systems.
Proven experience in at least three of the following areas: purchasing and procurement, planning and analysis (including forecasting and demand planning), inventory management, and materials management.
3+ years of experience in a buyer, planner, or supply chain role.
background in a manufacturing environment, preferably involving production and distribution operations.
Demonstrated experience in procurement within manufacturing, including electrical components.
Strong understanding of production planning, supply chain, and purchasing processes.
Ability to manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and ERP data accurately and efficiently.
Experience working as a buyer or purchasing professional in a manufacturing industry setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using ERP systems specifically for purchasing, planning, and inventory control.
Familiarity with supply chain analysis and performance measurement.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as operations, production, and finance.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple purchase orders and inventory items.
Comfort working with data within NetSuite or Oracle Fusion to support reporting and decision-making.
Experience in materials management for manufacturing environments.
Work Environment
The role operates in a manufacturing and distribution setting with a strong focus on supply chain, procurement, and production planning. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, supporting daytime operations and coordination with production and vendor partners. Work is performed using NetSuite or Oracle Fusion ERP systems and other standard office and manufacturing support tools. The environment involves regular interaction with operations, production, and finance teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of materials through the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.
