Summary This position is located at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Recommends improvement in program operations and to promote efficiency and cost savings. Provides Specialty Care Operations Manager with reports, evaluated information, budgetary proposals, and similar products necessary for effective direction of program operations. Provide basic quantitative and qualitative analysis and evaluation concerning effectiveness of programs in meeting established goals, measures, and objectives. Ensures compliance with new policies as directed, provides advice on requirements and prepares related correspondence. Relieves administrative burdens from the clinical section chiefs where appropriate. Chairs the Specialty Care safety subcommittee and is responsible staff and the service line Operations Manager informed of all relevant safety issues. Serves as secondary Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC). Researches and/or analyses problems, issues, or program requirements. Researches and develops new policies and procedures and initiates revisions in existing documents. Provides technical advice during exploratory and informative stages of system managerial planning, policy formulation, and decision-making actions. Develops, implements/conducts, and reports Performance Improvement (PI) monitors.-Plans and/or accomplishes special projects. Extracts and assembles information, conducts analysis, and develops reports or presentations Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively, prioritizing appropriately. Calls to the attention of supervisor, problems that require agency human resources office intervention or correction. Ensures that a tracking system for basic life safety and advanced life safety certification is maintained accurately and that training is completed timely. Works with supervisors and section chiefs to interpret and respond to All Employee Survey (AES) results and assists in development, implementation, and monitoring of corrective actions. Responsible for monitoring and recording work of residents, fellows, contract providers and part-time physicians in addition to managing physician call schedules. Works with services to identify and address areas for improvement in clinics. Closely manages consults, addressing problems as needed to ensure timely completion.
