Job Title: Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift
Job Description
This Warehouse Associate position is based at a facility in Katy, TX and supports the second shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You will work with an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to accurately pick, protect, and process materials while maintaining a high level of accuracy, organization, and safety.
Responsibilities
Pick material accurately from the Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) by using OG500 within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Use weigh scales to determine accurate counts for smaller items and ensure correct quantities are processed.
Prepare and protect materials before sending them to the ASRS by following VAS instructions for picking, including bagging, labeling, and completing all required steps.
Conduct cycle counts at the ASRS by using SM500 in the WMS to maintain accurate inventory records.
Perform compaction activities at the ASRS by using SM550 in the WMS to optimize storage and space utilization.
Follow detailed work instructions and training documents related to system behavior, including understanding when labels should be printed and how to respond to system prompts.
Use computers, warehouse software, printers, copiers, calculators, and scanner/bar code readers to complete daily tasks.
Read and follow detailed instructions and diagrams to ensure correct handling and processing of materials.
Organize work efficiently to consistently meet deadlines and production goals.
Maintain a high level of attention to detail and follow-up to ensure accuracy and completeness of all tasks.
Collaborate effectively with other employees at all levels of the organization to support smooth warehouse operations.
Stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods while safely lifting and handling materials weighing 35-50 pounds.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED.
Two or more years of previous warehouse experience.
Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including use of OG500, SM500, and SM550, or willingness to learn similar systems.
Ability to operate computers and use various computer programs, printers, copiers, calculators, and scanner/bar code readers.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to use scales and a ruler or tape measure to verify measurements and weights.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
High attention to detail with strong follow-up skills to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
Consistently positive attitude with a high level of energy.
Ability to work effectively alongside other employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and diagrams.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods throughout the shift.
Ability to safely lift and carry 35-50 pounds on a regular basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with automated equipment, such as Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), is a plus.
Prior experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
Comfort working with barcoding and labeling systems.
Strong reliability and punctuality, especially for second shift work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
