Summary The Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) will operate within the Service located at the VA Medical Center/Health Care System (VAMC/HCS) with several Community Based Outpatient Clinics. Reports directly to the Supervisor Medical Administrator at the VA Medical Center. The VTS works with the Supervisor Medical Administrator for transportation workload forecasting, scheduling design, and quality improvement implementation and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Transportation Services program. Responsibilities Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) Primary duties include but are not limited to: Planning, organizing, and administering how the work will be accomplished for a specific program. Planning and directing programs that provide support services functions. Validating program workload and ensure reporting is accurate. Provides technical and management guidance necessary to achieve the optimum use of service resources. Coordinating daily operations of program flow, processes, and functions. Performing basic analysis of data and generating a variety of reports. Aggregating in-coming data from a variety of sources. Collecting, compiling, and tracking data. Performing work that involves consulting management, appointment scheduling and admissions scheduling. Reviewing documents, reports and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies. Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/16/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
