URGENTLY Hiring a Warehouse Supervisor or Manager for a leading furniture company!

Bi-Lingual in Spanish & English preferred

Shift: 8am - 5:30pm

Location: Pompton Plains, NJ

Job Description

This role leads a warehouse team of up to fifteen employees and oversees all day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, stowing, stocking pick bins, inventory cycle counts, and order picking. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a safe and efficient work environment, and drives team performance to meet operational and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a warehouse team of up to fifteen workers, providing clear direction and support.

Manage and oversee all warehouse functions, including receiving, stowing, picking, stocking, and shipping activities.

Coordinate the receiving and stowing of materials to ensure timely and accurate placement into storage locations.

Organize and oversee the picking of orders and staging them for Assembly or Display teams.

Plan and execute regular cycle counts, ensuring stocking pick bins are replenished from overflow bins as needed.

Own inventory accuracy across all stocking locations, ensuring physical stock reconciles with the warehouse management system at all times.

Investigate and explain any inventory variances, and ensure cycle-count adjustments reflect the true physical count.

Routinely walk the warehouse to inspect conditions, identify issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.

Monitor direct reports on a regular basis, identifying performance or process issues and resolving them quickly.

Manage and direct the daily activities of the warehouse team, assigning tasks according to priorities and skill sets.

Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor results to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.

Set clear daily performance expectations, hold team members accountable, and address shortfalls in a timely and constructive manner.

Train, coach, and motivate team members to improve skills, efficiency, and adherence to procedures.

Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to support employee development.

Enforce company rules and policies consistently, working with the Operations Manager to take disciplinary action when necessary.

Identify and implement warehouse process improvements in collaboration with the Operations Manager or CEO.

Liaise with customer service to align warehouse operations with business objectives and customer requirements.

Receive feedback from management and handle special projects or assignments as required.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.

Use RF scanners and warehouse management software (WMS) to manage inventory, track movements, and update records accurately.

Support shipping and receiving activities by coordinating logistics, ensuring correct documentation, and meeting dispatch timelines.

Promote a culture of safety, organization, and continuous improvement within the warehouse.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pompton Plains, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
