Your application will not be received. // / To apply, follow the link belowto the Attorney General's Office direct application page. www.mass.gov/ago/employment.ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL HEALTH CARE & FAIR COMPETITION BUREAU MEDICAID FRAUD DIVISION Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join her Medicaid Fraud Division as an Assistant Attorney General to handle complex criminal and civil enforcement actions related to allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings. Primary Duties:The Assistant Attorney General will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex civil and criminal matters. Key responsibilities include partnering with federal and state agencies and civilian investigators to investigate allegations of fraud against the state Medicaid program and allegations of abuse, neglect, and misappropriation of funds occurring in long-term care facilities and from Medicaid members in health care settings. The Assistant Attorney General will conduct criminal and civil investigations, including drafting administrative demands, civil investigative demands, grand jury subpoenas, prosecution memoranda, and search warrants, presenting evidence to grand juries, and engaging in settlement and plea negotiations.The Assistant Attorney General will also litigate criminal and civil enforcement actions, including handling pretrial motions and discovery, drafting legal memoranda on motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, motions/in limine/, and summary judgment motions, and conducting bench and jury trials in both courts across the Commonwealth. Position Type: Full-Time/Exempt. Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions. Salary:$87,500 - $130,595, commensurate with JD year. Inquiries regarding position & status may be made to: Stacy Handy, Managing Administrative Assistant Medicaid Fraud Division (617) 963-2875 Position Requirements: · Must be a member of the Massachusetts Bar. · Three (3) to six (6) years of civil litigation experience or criminal prosecution experience, including conducting grand jury investigations and superior court trials, preferred. · Background in complex civil litigation, health care fraud litigation, and False Claims Act litigation preferred. · Excellent oral and written advocacy skills. · Self-motivated with the ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
