Responsibilities Serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Information Systems Division in the Office of the Director of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I) Systems. Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and applications. Document and update all systems security operations and maintenance activities and assess the effectiveness of security controls. Manage and maintain systems and servers, resources, and configurations. Troubleshoot and perform repairs on faulty hardware and software. Manage complex, long term projects to include performing technical studies, simulations, and preparing technical specifications. Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing or maintaining cyber security policies, procedures, and/or controls of C5I systems and applications; participating, coordinating, and/or leading a project team to implement software programs and procure information systems; managing or assisting with the management and maintenance of operating systems and servers; and conducting functional testing on systems or servers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GG/GS-12). The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
